An add-on set of rivets for models. The head is round but lower and flatter than in the ordinary domed version, so it projects less above the surface and acts by its wide outline rather than by its height. The package covers sizes from 1.3 to 2.0 mm.
The height of the head decides how the shadow behaves on the rivet. A tall crown creates a sharp point, a lower one gives a soft transition, and a row of such rivets then does not look like beads threaded on sheet metal. It therefore suits surfaces that are walked or driven over, covers that lie close to their surroundings and places where a tall head would look oversized in the given scale. The range up to 2.0 mm is aimed at large models and at parts built after one's own modification.
For a modeler who wants the riveting wide but not raised and works in a larger scale. It is add-on material for a model, not a kit.
