A precise modeling accessory from the Top Studio brand. These are miniature tapered fittings with a hex head 1.6 mm in diameter, which replace coarse plastic imitations of couplings and unions. It is not a kit of a model, but a set of detailing parts for refining the look of a model that already exists.
The fittings represent the couplings of hoses, of fuel and oil runs or of hydraulics. The tapered shape comes into its own where a run meets the engine block, the brakes or the tanks. The 1.6 mm dimension is suitable for more robust joints on the engines of cars and motorcycles in the larger scales.
The parts are fitted onto a cleaned and degreased place and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or an epoxy, as a cement for plastic does not hold here. We recommend a dry test and completing the joint with colored routing made from hose for a faithful look.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
