An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese aircraft carrier Katsuragi in 1:700 scale from the Japanese brand Aoshima. The model captures a late-war aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy and suits a display case as well as a diorama water surface.
Katsuragi was one of the Unryu type aircraft carriers built by the Imperial Japanese Navy in the second half of the Second World War. She was completed in 1944. She came through the war and in the postwar period served to repatriate Japanese soldiers and civilians from the Pacific before she was scrapped.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them down. Apply a primer before painting, spray the flight deck and the hull with an airbrush and pick out the decks with fine washes. The railings and fine superstructure parts in this scale are ideal for the addition of photo-etched parts, which are not included in the package.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
