Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese seaplane carrier Mizuho in 1:700 scale, in the waterline version. Aoshima is a Japanese manufacturer with a long tradition of ship models. The package makes it possible to build a static model of this vessel of the Second World War period.
The Mizuho was a seaplane carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy brought into service at the end of the 1930s. She carried catapults and cranes for launching and recovering reconnaissance and observation floatplanes and was meant to support the fleet on the open sea. In service she served in the early phases of the war in the Pacific.
On a waterline model the deck details, the catapults and the cranes will show at their best; glue the fine parts with liquid cement for plastic. We recommend a primer underneath and an airbrush for even gray shades on the hull and the superstructures. A dark wash will bring out the panels and the railings, and the model looks good on a suitable stand or in a harbor scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
