Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a kit of the ship but an accessory to one. In the package there is a veneer deck in 1:700 scale with a self-adhesive base and with the printed laying of the planks. It is glued onto the plastic deck of a model that the modeler obtains separately, and it replaces the laborious painting and shading of the deck areas. The set is intended for the Hasegawa 110 kit.
The Hiei was a Japanese ship of the Kongo class, originally built as a battlecruiser. After the rebuilds in the 1930s, which touched the propulsion, the armor and the superstructures, she was listed as a fast battleship. The main armament consisted of 356 mm guns.
Even pressure and patience are the key. Once it is seated, press the veneer down through a soft pad, a piece of felt, a rubber spatula or a finger through paper, and work from the center toward the edges, so that the air has somewhere to escape. Force any bubble out at once; after a few hours the adhesive can no longer be talked round. Then leave the model alone for at least a day before you set about further work. Gluing in a cold room tends to be weaker, as veneer holds better at ordinary room temperature.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model of the ship. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
