This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not a stand-alone aircraft model. It replaces the original cockpit of a plastic A-1H Skyraider kit with a one-piece resin casting with crisp detail of the tub, the seat, the side consoles and the instrument panel. It is intended for experienced modelers who want to take the cockpit beyond the level of the molding from the box.
The Douglas A-1H Skyraider was an American single-engine carrier attack aircraft with a piston radial engine. Even in the jet era it won a reputation for its large weapon load, its long endurance over the battlefield and its toughness; it served from the Korean War to operations over Southeast Asia.
This is a resin casting for the advanced. First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean up the cut surfaces, always with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); try the surfaces dry before fixing them. It is worth painting and picking out the cockpit before the fuselage is closed.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The aircraft kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
