An aftermarket accessory, not a whole model. The turned metal barrel replaces the plastic barrel from the kit and gives the short massive gun of 152 mm caliber a faithful profile and a precise muzzle end.
The XM150 was an American combined gun and launcher of 152 mm caliber and 30 calibers in length, the main armament of the prototype of the MBT-70 tank of the nineteen-sixties. It was a lengthened and improved relative of the gun-launcher used on the light tank and its derivatives. Besides ordinary separate-loading ammunition of 152 mm caliber it could also launch a guided anti-tank missile.
Exchange the plastic barrel for the metal one, clean up the mating surface in the turret and glue the barrel in with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer for the airbrush.
This is a separate detail accessory (a metal barrel), not a complete kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
