A set of color 3D elements from Kelik for a model of the Douglas A-4F Skyhawk in 1:72 scale. Before applying them, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was a small single-seat carrier-based attack aircraft of the US Navy that first flew in the mid-1950s and stayed in production for almost three decades. It was compact enough to manage without the folding wing other carrier aircraft need because of space in the hangar below deck. The A-4F version is often seen with a dorsal hump for equipment, placed behind the cockpit.
These are color three-dimensional elements applied to finished plastic parts, replacing the hand painting of small details. Compared with a coat from a brush, the result has a three-dimensional relief and legible lettering even in 1:72 scale, where there is no room left for handwork. Which kit the set fits exactly and which areas it covers is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them in full before you start.
Before applying them, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive. The application procedure differs between the individual ranges, so do not start with water before you have confirmed it in the manufacturer's instructions. The base has to be smooth, clean and degreased, otherwise an element will not seat over its whole area. Separate the elements with a sharp blade or tweezers and press them down with a cotton bud, working from the center toward the edges. Work one piece at a time and in the order in which the cabin parts go together.
The set contains only elements for detailing. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
