The Bell AH-1 Cobra was the first helicopter designed from the start as an attack machine. It has a strikingly narrow fuselage, a crew seated one behind the other with the pilot at the back and higher than the gunner, stub wings for hanging armament and skids instead of wheels. Under the nose it carries a movable turret with a gun. The AH-1F version is single-engine, powered by a turboshaft engine, and it carries TOW anti-tank guided missiles. Cobras in this standard served for many years with American units stationed in Germany as well.
This is a finished collector model in 1:72 scale. It is assembled and painted, so it is enough to unpack it and stand it in a display case. You need no glue, paints or tools for it.
Take the model in your hand by the fuselage, never by the rotor blades or the skids, as both are flexible and easily bent. You can take the dust off it with a soft brush rather than a cloth, so that it does not catch on small projections. In direct sun the colors gradually fade, so choose a place in the shade or in a glazed display case for it.
This is a finished model intended for display, not a kit. Paints, glue and kit parts do not belong with it.
