Eduard 1:72 AIM-9X is a resin detail set of the modern American AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles for models of combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Eduard Brassin resin range contains a pair of modern American AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles in 1:72 scale. Besides the resin castings, decals and fine photo-etched parts are usually included. The missiles complete the external stores of modern fighter models with a more detailed and accurate rendering than the plastic from the box offers.
The AIM-9X is the latest generation of the short-range Sidewinder missile, with infrared homing and high agility thanks to thrust vectoring. It is carried by a number of modern American and allied fighters. It is marked out by a slender body and small control surfaces.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. They are glued with super glue. The enclosed decals add the color bands and markings; the photo-etched fins raise the fineness. The missiles go on the pylons or the wingtip rails, depending on the particular aircraft.
The detail set contains neither the aircraft model, nor paints, nor glue. Intended for more experienced modelers.
