A set of masks for the cockpit of the AJ-37 Viggen aircraft in 1:72 scale makes it easier to separate the glazing cleanly from the Swedish three-color pattern. The covers are cut for the Hasegawa kit.

The accessory is prepared for building the Swedish attack machine in 1:72 scale. The covers follow the shape of the windscreen and of the hinged part of the canopy, so the painted line of a frame stays straight even where the glass breaks. The outlines of the covers match the glazing of the Hasegawa kit.
The Saab 37 was among the most distinctive designs of the 1970s. The combination of a double delta with canards ahead of the main wing gave the machine a short takeoff and the ability to land on an ordinary road, which was the core of the Swedish doctrine of dispersed basing. The RM8 engine had a thrust reverser, which shortened the run after touchdown. The AJ-37 version was tuned for strikes against ground and surface targets; the mottled four-color finish with which the Swedes camouflaged the machines is unmistakable as well.
Check the clear parts against the light first and polish out any scratches, and only then lay the covers on. Paint the frame from inside in the dark shade of the pilot's cockpit, so that it does not shine once finished. Lay the outer shades on in thin coats; with a mottled pattern it pays to let each color set properly. Remove the covers while the finish is fresh.
