The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engined multirole combat aircraft in a delta layout with canards. It serves with several European air forces, and individual machines differ mainly in small service markings, tactical numbers and unit badges, while the basic gray finish stays similar. It is precisely these details that decide whether a model comes across as convincing, because the decals supplied with a kit cover them only in part.
Generic sheets are often made up of a great many small motifs, so have a sharp scalpel, tweezers and a soft brush ready. Overcoat the area under a decal with gloss clear varnish and let it cure. Cut the motif out close to the printing, immerse it in warm water for a few seconds and let it rest on a paper towel. As soon as the film slides freely, carry it over and guide it into place with the brush. Do not grip small decals by the printing with tweezers, so that they do not break up. Dose the softener drop by drop; with small motifs very little really is enough. Once it is dry, wash the adhesive residues off with a damp cloth and even the surface out with a matte or satin varnish.
The decals are an accessory for a kit. The kit, the paints, the varnishes and the softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
