Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak trainer biplane of the 1920s in 1:72 scale from FLY. It is a short-run kit that holds resin parts and decals besides the injection-molded plastic. As with any biplane, allow for the bracing wires, that is, rigging the wires and fitting the interplane struts. The exact contents follow the particular box.
The Avia BH-22 was a Czechoslovak trainer derived from the BH-21 fighter biplane. The prototype flew in 1925. Compared with the fighter it came from, it received a less powerful engine and a reworked wing arrangement, and it carried no armament. It served above all for training and as an aerobatic machine; together with the BH-21 it stood at the beginning of the success of Czechoslovak aerobatic pilots on the international scene. Some of the machines later went to flying clubs as well.
As with short-run kits, allow for more careful cleanup of the parts and deliberate gluing, dry-fitting the surfaces before joining them. Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Finish and paint the interior before closing the fuselage. The key is the precise seating of the upper wing and the struts and then the bracing wires; the wires can be imitated with stretched line or thread. Apply primer before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
