An injection-molded plastic kit of the classic British two-seat Avro 504K in 1:72 scale. The European Users edition carries a decal sheet with the markings of European operators, among others Belgian, Portuguese and Finnish. The package holds molded plastic sprues; paints, glue and accessories are not included.
The Avro 504 was one of the most successful aircraft of its day: it served from the First World War and in the training role it lasted deep into the interwar period. The 504K version had a universal engine mount allowing various rotary engines to be fitted. The machine was used above all as a school and liaison aircraft and in many countries it formed the backbone of pilot training.
On a biplane, give attention to seating the spars and the interplane struts correctly; standing the model on a flat surface and letting the joints dry thoroughly helps. Rigging the wires will complete the overall impression. Fabric-covered surfaces come out well in matte shades, whereas the metal engine cowling suits a light sheen.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
