Masks for the glazing of the Martin B-26 Marauder medium bomber in 1:72 scale. The cut of the parts matches the Hasegawa kit.

The bomber that earned itself black humor about one lost machine a day at the start of its career was in fact a victim of its own boldness: a short wing with a high wing loading called for a fast landing and crews without experience had trouble with that. Once the span was increased and the training was put right, the Marauder proved exceptionally durable and in operations over western Europe it ended with the lowest loss rate of all the American medium bombers. It escorted the invasion wave in Normandy and its patrols over the Mediterranean were among the busiest.
A model of a medium bomber sets the modeler dozens of small panes: the navigator's nose, the cockpit, the waist gun positions and the rear turret. The set prepares the parts in advance, so all the boundaries keep the same width and no time is lost trimming. A large share of builders get stuck on the last step precisely on multi-engine types, even though they have long had the fuselage and the engine nacelles finished.
On multi-seat machines honest masking pays off twice over, because the glass is visible from every angle. A model standing on a base with a view from above gives a carelessly bounded frame away at once, whereas clean work on the glazing still looks fresh years later.
