B-25J armament set 1:72 from CMK is a resin accessory for a model of the North American B-25J Mitchell bomber. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement armament parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is a detail accessory for a plastic kit, not an aircraft model. It replaces the armament parts of the B-25J bomber in 1:72 scale with finer resin castings. Machine gun barrels and their mountings belong among the places where the difference between a part from a mold and a casting shows most, because the barrels are thinner and have a more distinct profile.
The North American B-25 Mitchell was an American twin-engine medium bomber, one of the most widespread Allied types of the Second World War. The B-25J version was the most numerously built variant and was produced both in the form with a glazed nose for a bombardier and in the so-called strafer form with a solid nose full of machine guns. It was exactly on this version that the number of 12.7 mm weapons grew markedly, and the Mitchell became a feared machine for low-level attacks, especially in the Pacific.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and even the surfaces out. Sanding is best done wet and with your airways protected. They are glued with super glue, because classic cement for plastic does not work here. It pays off to fit the barrels right at the end of the build, after spraying and decaling, so that they do not snap off during handling. Supplement the metal shade on the barrels with a dark wash, so that the profile stands out.
