Replacement wheels of the early form with a grooved tread for a model of the American B-26 Marauder bomber in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. It had a slender fuselage, short wings and a high landing speed, because of which it earned a reputation among crews as a demanding machine. The main wheels carried a large part of the weight of the aircraft and are therefore sizeable and clearly visible on a model. On early machines the tires had a grooved tread, which differs from the later pattern at first glance.
The set brings wheels of the early form with a grooved tread in 1:72 scale, that is a replacement for the parts from the kit. A one-piece wheel is better shaped than a two-part wheel from a mold, and there is no need to glue halves together and sand the seam in the middle of the tire.
The parts are not polystyrene and are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the surplus material and the marks left by manufacturing off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest, so that the circular outline of the tire is preserved. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting. A tire looks better in a dark gray tone than in pure black, and it pays to spray the disc separately and only then join the two parts. Try the part dry before gluing it into the landing gear leg.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The number of parts and the kit the wheels are intended for are stated by the manufacturer on the box.
