A precisely cut self-adhesive masking set in Japanese paper tape (kabuki) for a plastic model of the American strategic bomber Boeing B-52G Stratofortress in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer New Ware. It is not a model and not a paint, but a set of masks for a clean coat on the glazing and the details. The BASIC level contains masks for the cockpit glazing from the outer side, for the wheels and for further clear parts.
The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an American eight-engined strategic bomber with long range that has formed the backbone of the American strategic air forces for decades. The B-52G version brought a number of changes including a lower vertical tail and integral fuel tanks in the wing, which increased the range. This massive machine with a large area of cockpit glazing is a rewarding but extensive subject for masking.
The masks are cut from a tape that adapts to the curvature of the cockpit and leaves no sticky traces once lifted. Degrease and dry the surface before applying them, transfer the parts with tweezers and press them against the edges of the frames. Cover the remaining area of the glazing with scraps of tape or with liquid mask. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and peel the masks off before the coat is fully dry, so that the edges stay sharp.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model and not paints. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
