Decals for the armored cars BA-10M and BA-20M in 1:72 scale cover their service outside their original army: Germany, Sweden, Finland, the ROA and the RONA.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Star Decals offers markings of two Soviet armored cars in foreign service. The name names Germany, Sweden, Finland and, further, the ROA and RONA formations. It is an addition to a model, not a kit. Small armored vehicles are built quickly in this scale, so one set will cover several projects at once.
The BA-10M is the heavier of the pair: it is built on a three-axle truck chassis and in its turret carries a 45mm gun. The BA-20M grows out of a passenger car, has machine gun armament only and a conical turret. In 1941 a large number of both types fell into the hands of opponents and the machines then served on under other insignia, with German units, in Finland and with Russian formations serving under the Germans. Markings are often the only distinguishing element with them, because the shape of the hull stayed unchanged.
Armored cars are tiny in this scale and their sides are broken up by rivets and folded plates. Apply the markings one design at a time, therefore, and let the surface dry properly between steps. Captured machines tended to have new insignia painted over the original finish, so lightly misting the surroundings with paint will on the contrary make the look more accurate.
