An ejection seat with harness for the BAC Lightning in 1:72 scale is a resin accessory that replaces the seat in a kit of the British interceptor. It is not an aircraft model but a detail part for the cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A one-piece resin ejection seat with convincingly modeled safety harness in 1:72 scale from Quickboost (the range of simple resin parts by Aires). It replaces the seat from a plastic kit of the British English Electric (BAC) Lightning interceptor. It is not an aircraft model but a small detail part that drops straight into the cockpit and raises its realism without assembling photo-etched straps.
The Lightning was a British supersonic interceptor of the Cold War, famous for its extraordinary rate of climb. It was powered by an unusual pair of Rolls-Royce Avon engines mounted one above the other, which gave the aircraft a steep climb angle and high speed. It served with the Royal Air Force and was designed above all for a rapid response against high-altitude bombers. A convincing seat is clearly visible in the cockpit.
These are resin castings. Wash them in lukewarm water with detergent and rid them of any mold release agent, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw away from the part and sand the surfaces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with plastic cement. Protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set for more experienced modelers. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
