The set contains resin landing lights for a 1:72 model of the Soviet Beriev Be-12 (Chayka) amphibious flying boat. This is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory from Quickboost (a line of the Aires brand). The crisply cast parts replace the plastic items from the box and let the lights be shown faithfully.
The Beriev Be-12 is a Soviet amphibious flying boat powered by turboprop engines, intended above all for anti-submarine work and maritime patrol. Its cranked gull wing is characteristic. The landing lights are among the small details that nevertheless stand out visually.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts and carefully cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). You can get a glass effect by undercoating with silver and adding a translucent color; protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue. The base kit and the paints are not included in the package.
