Resin conversion set Beaufighter Mk.II (early type) in 1:72 scale for converting the model to the version with Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engines.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a standalone kit but an extensive resin conversion set. It brings the parts needed to convert an ordinary Beaufighter into the early Mk.II version: new inner wing sections with detailed wheel wells, separate engine sections, engine cowlings, propellers with individual blades, landing gear doors, flat horizontal tail surfaces and early-type exhausts. A small photo-etched part with night fighter antennas and decals for several machines are included as well.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engine heavy fighter and night fighter of the Second World War. The vast majority of versions had Bristol Hercules radial engines, but the Mk.II was the only one fitted with Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engines and it had flat horizontal tail surfaces. The version was used above all as a night fighter.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut them away from the casting blocks; most of the parts are designed as drop-fit, without much shaping. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your airways when sanding resin. A dark camouflage and carefully blackened exhausts suit a night fighter. The set is intended for a common 1:72 plastic Beaufighter kit.
The set contains resin parts, a small photo-etched fret and decals. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
