About product

IBG 1:72 Bedford QLR 3 ton 4x4 Wireless

An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Bedford QL truck in the QLR version in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker IBG. The QLR version carried a closed box body for a radio set and signals equipment. The set contains plastic parts, clear parts and a decal sheet with markings.

The real subject

The Bedford QL was a British three-ton truck with 4x4 all-wheel drive, produced from 1941. The QLR form served as a mobile signals and command post fitted with a radio set. The widespread vehicle saw use on most of the battlefields where British and Allied troops operated.

Building and painting tips

Assemble and clean up the chassis, the axles and the engine compartment first, and only then close the cab and the box body. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and use a primer before painting. You will bring a single-color military finish to life with panel highlighting, washes and fine dust pigments.

Who the model is for

  • For collectors of British equipment in 1:72 scale
  • For makers of dioramas on signals and command themes
  • For modelers with basic to intermediate experience
  • As a complement to British columns and artillery displays

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
