An injection-molded plastic kit of an early version of the famous German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter from the manufacturer Amodel. It is a short-run model: it offers fine surface detail but calls for a more experienced approach, because the parts tend to come without locating pins and you have to expect cleaning up and dry-fitting.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a German all-metal fighter designed by Willy Messerschmitt in the first half of the 1930s, with an enclosed cockpit canopy and retractable landing gear. The early versions were tested in combat as early as the Spanish Civil War in the ranks of the Condor Legion and laid the foundation of one of the most produced fighters in history, which the Luftwaffe used until the end of the Second World War.
On a short-run kit, first clean the parts of flash and try them dry. Glue them with thin cement for plastic, fill the joints and sand them down. For the early machines, smooth metallic or light shades suit well; apply the decals over a gloss coat and fix them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
