Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is a modern mold with fine surface detail. The equipment of the package differs according to the edition (the Weekend edition, for instance), so check the actual contents (decals, any photo-etched parts or masks) and the number of schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the main German fighter of the Second World War. The F series, the Friedrich, brought an aerodynamically cleaned-up airframe with rounded wingtips and a modified cooling system. The F-2 version was armed with a single 15 mm engine-mounted cannon and a pair of 7.92 mm machine guns; it was built mostly in 1940 and 1941, and many pilots regarded it as one of the most enjoyable Bf 109 variants to fly.
The kit has fine detail and good parts fit, so gentle cleaning up of the joints pays off. Paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage and cover the small cockpit glazing with masks. For German schemes with gray upper surfaces and a light underside an airbrush works well; fine mottling and accentuated panel lines will finish the look in the small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
