This is an Aires resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit interior of the single-seat Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighter with more accurate castings: the cockpit tub, the instrument panel, the seat and the controls. In the small 1:72 scale it lifts the look of an open cockpit markedly.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a German single-engine fighter, one of the most widespread machines of the Second World War. The G version, the Gustav, belonged to the most numerous series, with a more powerful engine. Although the cockpit of the Bf 109 is fairly cramped, once detailed it reads well with the canopy open.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with your airways protected. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The interior usually matches the shade of German machines of the period; the instruments and the harnesses come out after a dry brush and a fine wash.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue, paints and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
