Quickboost exhausts for the Messerschmitt Bf 109K in 1:72 scale. A resin detail accessory from Aires for a more accurate rendering of the exhaust pipes.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail accessory from Quickboost, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of separate exhaust pipes with which you replace the exhausts of the Bf 109K version. The fine castings have cleanly open mouths and show well on the side of the engine section of a finished model.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109K, nicknamed the Kurfürst, was one of the last production versions of the German single-seat fighter from the end of the Second World War. It was powered by a liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 605 series engine whose exhaust pipes projected along the sides of the forward fuselage.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. The exhausts come out once shaded in rusty and metallic tones.
The accessory is supplied as resin parts. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
