An injection-molded plastic kit of the German twin-engine night fighter Messerschmitt Bf 110G-4 in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is the ProfiPACK edition, which adds photo-etched parts, painting masks and decals for several color schemes to the plastic parts. Check the actual contents of the box against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Bf 110G-4 was a specialized night fighter (Nachtjäger), the last large twin-engine night machine from Messerschmitt. It carried radar with prominent antennas on the nose and heavy gun armament, including 30 mm cannon. The crew was a pilot and a radio and radar operator, and the machine formed the backbone of the German night defense against Allied bombers in the second half of the war.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic; glue the photo-etched parts from the extra set with cyanoacrylate. The extensive canopy glazing calls for care: use the enclosed masks and an adhesive for canopies. Paint the interior before closing the fuselage. Night fighters carried dark as well as light night schemes with fine patterns; after a gloss coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
