A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for a model of the four-engine heavy bomber Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War and the B-17G version is its most widespread guise. It is told by the turret under the nose, which supplemented the defense against head-on attacks, the ones that caused the older series the greatest trouble. Machines of the Eighth Air Force over Europe carried conspicuous squadron insignia on the tail surfaces and the crews decorated their aircraft with names and paintings, so with the B-17 it is precisely the choice of decals that decides the final look of a model, perhaps more than with other types.
This is a standalone sheet of decals for a model in 1:72 scale, that is, an accessory to a kit, not a kit itself. Which machines, insignia and inscriptions the sheet carries and to what extent is given by the enclosed manufacturer's instructions.
The decals are wet. Cut the element out as close as possible, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide freely on the backing paper. The base should be glossy, since on a matte surface a silvery veil forms under the film of a decal. Slide the element into place, draw the water off with a cloth from the center toward the edges and draw it into the panel lines with softener. Lay large insignia on the tail surfaces all at once and straight into their final position, as moving them after drying tears the film. Finally go over everything with a sealing clear coat.
A decal sheet is supplied. The kit, paints, clear coats and softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
