A resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. This set in finely cast resin refines the control surfaces of the British Boulton Paul Defiant fighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the parts from the box with faithfully rendered ailerons, elevator and rudder with a fine texture of the fabric skin and makes it possible to fit them in a deflected position. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
Deflected control surfaces give a static model dynamism at once and show careful work. The casting faithfully captures the structure of the ribs and the fabric skin as well as the thin trailing edges, which are hard to create from solid plastic. Once painted and lightly weathered, the transitions between the fixed and the movable part look completely natural.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
