An injection-molded plastic kit of the British anti-tank gun QF 2-pdr (Ordnance QF 2 pounder) from Zvezda in 1:72 scale. The box holds the gun itself and crew figures. The set is designed as a snap-fit kit, so the parts can be joined without glue, although we recommend glue for strong and clean joints. The compact set is ideal as an addition to a diorama.
The QF 2-pdr was a British 40 mm anti-tank gun of the early Second World War period. It was used by the infantry and by some armored cars and tanks. It was effective against the early types of vehicle, but as the war went on its penetrating power ceased to be enough. In substance it is a typical light anti-tank weapon of its day.
Clean up the small parts of the barrel and the carriage carefully so as not to break them. Paint the gun and the figures separately; a fine wash and a dry brush on the edges will bring the result to life. Apply the primer and the colors with an airbrush or a brush, and keep the coats thin.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
