Responsibility details are not available.
A book title from Kagero's naval line. The subject according to the name is the Japanese battleship Musashi. It is a printed book devoted to one particular ship.
The Musashi was the second unit of the Japanese class of the largest battleships ever built. The main battery consisted of 460 mm guns in three triple turrets, that is the largest caliber ever to appear in series aboard a warship. Characteristic of this class are the massive concentrated superstructure, the pronounced sheer of the bow and exceptionally heavy armor. Despite her size the ship was among the faster battleships of her day. The armament and the fittings saw changes over the course of service, chiefly in the anti-aircraft department.
Ships of this class are among the most frequently built naval subjects of all, and kits of them exist from tiny scales up to large sizes for advanced builders. As the size of the model grows, so does the demand for documentation: the placement of the small weapon stations, the boats and the cranes differs from one ship of the class to another, and it differs by period as well. A title focused on one particular name is therefore more useful on the shelf than a general survey of the Japanese fleet.
This is a printed publication. It is not a kit and not an accessory; the package holds no parts for building.
