Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from UM in 1:72 scale represents the British Achilles IIC tank destroyer. The set holds plastic parts for the hull and the open turret plus extra photo-etched parts for the fine detail.
The Achilles came about as a British conversion of the American M10 tank destroyer, in which the original 3-inch gun was replaced by the powerful British 17-pounder gun (76.2 mm). The new weapon could destroy even heavily armored targets at long range. The Achilles served with British and Allied units at the end of the Second World War in Western Europe and Italy.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. The open turret reveals the interior and the long gun barrel is a striking feature, so careful painting and weathering pay off. Use liquid cement on the plastic; we recommend a primer, an airbrush and bringing out the detail with washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
