Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive masking set in kabuki paper for a kit of the stretched version of the C-130J-30 Super Hercules transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. The masks are pre-cut to the shape of the glazing frames, so the laborious trimming of tape falls away while spraying and the edges stay crisp. It is neither a model of the aircraft nor decals, but an aid for painting. The set is listed at the BASIC level, that is the lowest of the three extents this brand offers — for this subject the fuller ADVANCED and EXPERT levels are also made.
The C-130J is the newest generation of the Hercules transport aircraft. Against the older versions it has new-generation Rolls-Royce turboprop engines, six-blade propellers with composite blades and completely reworked avionics with a head-up display, thanks to which a crew of two pilots is enough. The J-30 designation belongs to the variant with a stretched fuselage, which takes more cargo and more people. The type is used by a number of countries for transport, airdrops and humanitarian flights.
First clean and degrease the glazing, and only then stick the masks on and press the edges down with a toothpick — otherwise paint will seep under them. Spray in thin coats. Take the mask off while the paint is only just dry, not after it has fully cured; best with the point of a scalpel at a corner. With the large cabin glazing of the Hercules it pays to spray the interior shade first, so that the frames do not look translucent from inside.
This is a masking set, not a model and not decals. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. The masks are cut to the shape of particular glazing, so check the match with your own kit before you buy.
