A photo-etched accessory set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for refining a plastic model of the American Douglas C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft (the military version of the DC-3). Etched parts usually bring detail to the cockpit, the interior and other fine features beyond what injection-molded plastic offers. This is not a model, but a detail accessory.
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain was one of the most important transport aircraft of the Second World War. It carried troops and cargo, dropped paratroopers and towed gliders; in its civilian DC-3 form it marked a turning point in air transport.
Separate the parts from the fret, shape the fine elements and bond them with super glue. Paint the unpainted parts according to the instructions. Tweezers, a magnifier and a steady hand all pay off.
