IBG models 1:72 Cromwell Armored Recovery Vehicle is an injection-molded plastic kit of the British recovery vehicle on the chassis of the Cromwell tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
The injection-molded plastic kit captures the British armored recovery vehicle (ARV) built on the chassis of the Cromwell tank. In this version the turret is replaced by recovery equipment. The package contains plastic parts and decals; despite the small scale the model offers nicely worked detail on the hull and the running gear.
The Cromwell ARV came about by converting the Cromwell cruiser tank into a vehicle intended for recovering and towing damaged equipment directly in the field. Instead of a turret it carried a winch and a recovery frame structure. These support vehicles were indispensable for keeping armored units in fighting condition during the Second World War.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the lower part of the hull, and only then close the vehicle up. Glue with liquid cement for plastic, apply a primer and lay the base camouflage with an airbrush. The character of a recovery vehicle is underlined by washes in the recesses and dust or mud pigments for the weathering of wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
