1:72 CV-1 Langley 1927 Lift is a base with the motif of the lift of the first American aircraft carrier in her 1927 state.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subject of the base is the lift platform of the ship CV-1 as the name dates it to 1927. The artwork is adapted to 1:72 scale and makes it possible to display a model of a period machine in a setting that matches its time. You do not have to build the whole ship for that.
The Langley came about through the conversion of a supply ship and entered service in 1922 as the very first carrier of the US Navy. A wooden flight deck stretched above the original hull, thanks to which the ship earned a nickname referring to a covered wagon. She was not fast and her combat value was small, but most of the procedures American carrier aviation used in the following decades came about on her, from catapult launching off the deck to arresting gear.
The 1920s mean biplanes with fragile struts, so seat a model on the area carefully and preferably one at a time. The period impression is helped by muted lighting and a lighter background behind the scene. If you are building several machines of the same period, it pays to display them together: the differences in finish will then stand out.
It serves to display finished models, which you obtain separately.
