A set of replacement wheels for models of the German Dornier Do 17 in the M, P and Z versions and the Do 215 in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand Armory, cast in resin. The tires are cast flattened where they meet the ground. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit. Check the part count on the box.
The Do 17 was a German twin-engine bomber whose slender fuselage earned it the nickname flying pencil. The M version was a bomber, the P version a reconnaissance machine, and the Z version received a reworked, markedly taller forward section with a roomier cabin that changed the whole silhouette of the aircraft. The Do 215 grew out of this later shape: it was created originally for export, received different engines, and some of the machines ended up serving as night fighters. Because the landing gear stayed similar on these related types, the manufacturer groups them into a single set.
Wash the resin wheels in warm soapy water and rid them of the mold release layer. Cut the casting block off with a saw and sand the mating surface flat so the wheel does not sit crooked. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tire separately before fitting it and dust the flattened contact patch lightly; it then looks more settled.
