1:72 E-100, WEHRMACHT

The real subject

The E-100 was a German heavy tank project of the end of the Second World War, the heaviest machine of the whole run of development proposals of that time. Work on it stopped before it could be completed: only part of the hull was built, and after the fighting ended the British side took it over. The machine never reached service and was never used in the field, so every rendering of it shows a form derived from project documents and from the surviving hull.

What you get

A finished collector's model in 1:72 scale. It is not assembled nor painted; once unpacked it goes straight into a display case or onto a shelf. The 1:72 scale is widespread among models of vehicles, so the machine can be set beside aircraft and other vehicles of the same size and compared with them for dimensions. With the E-100 that makes more sense than anywhere else, because size is the most striking thing about this subject.

Placement and care

Place the model out of direct sun, which changes the shade of paints over time. Remove dust from the surface with a soft brush or with compressed air from a greater distance, not with a cloth, which catches on projecting parts. When carrying the model, hold it by the hull, not by the barrel, an antenna or another thin part.

Who it is for

The model will be appreciated by collectors of military vehicles and by anyone interested in German projects of the end of the war who wants the machine on a shelf without building and painting. It also suits as a gift for someone who is interested in military vehicles but does not build models himself.
