A vacuum-formed clear canopy for the 1:72 E-2C Hawkeye from Rob Taurus. A clear replacement for the cockpit glazing, for more faithful detail on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a standalone modeling accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The set contains a vacuum-formed clear canopy (the cockpit glazing) for the E-2C Hawkeye carrier early warning aircraft in 1:72 scale. The thin, cleanly formed canopy replaces the original thicker part from a plastic kit and looks more realistic.
The E-2C Hawkeye is an American carrier-based airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft. You will recognize it by the large rotating radar disc above the fuselage and by its pair of turboprop engines. It serves as the airborne eyes and brain of a carrier group.
Cut the canopy out with a sharp knife or scissors slightly outside the engraved edge and sand it down to a close fit. Before gluing, dip it in a gloss varnish for perfect clarity. Glue with thin PVA glue or a special glue for canopies, which does not fog clear parts. Mask the frames and spray them with an airbrush.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The glue, the paints and the base model are not included in the package.
