An injection-molded plastic kit of the American electronic warfare aircraft EF-111A Raven in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The model captures the two-seat machine with a variable-geometry wing derived from the F-111 bomber. The box holds a decal sheet with two marking options and color assembly instructions.
The EF-111A Raven was a specialized electronic warfare aircraft of the US Air Force, converted from the F-111 Aardvark tactical bomber. It served to jam hostile radars and air defenses and escorted strike packages. Its characteristic features were the large pod with the jamming equipment and the variable-geometry wing.
Pay attention to the mechanism of the variable-geometry wing and to the exact seating of the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up. Mask the glazing while spraying. We recommend a base coat, spraying with an airbrush and gentle emphasis of the panels with a wash. A gloss coat under the decals prevents silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
