A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Brengun, intended for a particular Brengun kit. The fine metal etch adds to a model of the Extra aerobatic special in 1:72 scale the details that injection-molded plastic cannot render faithfully at so small a scale.
The aircraft of the Extra 300/330 family are among the most widespread aerobatic specials of the present day. The German design with its Lycoming piston engine stands out for an airframe strong enough for high g loads and for precise controls - machines of this range fly at aerobatic competitions and at air days all over the world.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface and clean the edges up with a fine file. Use tweezers with smooth jaws for bending, ideally a bender. Glue with a small amount of super glue (cyanoacrylate) applied with a pin. Degrease the metal parts and prime them before painting, or the paint will not hold well.
This is a detail accessory, not an airplane model in its own right. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
