Self-adhesive masks for spraying the national insignia of the F-111 Aardvark aircraft in 1:72 scale. Cut for the Hasegawa, Italeri, Esci, Revell and Monogram kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark was an American combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, built for attacks on ground targets at long range and at low altitude. The crew consisted of two men sitting side by side. The large areas of the fuselage and the wing give the markings plenty of room and accuracy pays off on them.
The set serves for spraying the national insignia instead of decals. According to the name it is cut for the Hasegawa, Italeri, Esci, Revell and Monogram kits in 1:72 scale; with another kit, check the dimensions by laying it on beforehand.
Wash the surface under the mask, degrease it and let it dry. Apply the mask to a finished colored base before spraying the insignia and press the edges down carefully so that paint does not run under them. On a variable-geometry wing, think the position of an insignia through before applying and set the wing to one particular position for it. Spray several thin coats, and multicolored insignia coat by coat according to the manufacturer's instructions. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, pulling at a slight angle.
The set suits modelers who want the insignia as part of the finish, with no silvering and with no edge of decal film. It is also a way to convincing dust and wear, because the insignia ages along with the rest of the finish. This is an accessory: the kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
