In the package you will find sprues with plastic parts, a clear part for the cockpit, a decal sheet and instructions. The characteristic faceted shapes of the aircraft make the model a striking item in any aviation collection.
The F-117A Nighthawk was the first series-produced combat aircraft built from the ground up according to the principles of radar invisibility. Although it carried a fighter designation, its task was precision strikes on ground targets at night. Its angular, many-sided surface scattered radar waves and the matte black finish hid it in the dark. It entered wider public awareness above all thanks to its deployment in the conflict in the Persian Gulf.
The faceted surfaces of the fuselage call for careful filling and sanding of the joints, so that the edges stay sharp. The matte black finish is best applied with an airbrush, and you bring the uniform surface to life by gently varying the shades and bringing the panel lines out. It pays to paint the cockpit and the clear canopy and to polish them before the fuselage is closed up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and the accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
