Eduard F-14B Tomcat painting mask 1:72

A set of self-adhesive masks from Eduard in 1:72 scale for masking the cockpit glazing and the wheels of the Grumman F-14B Tomcat carrier-borne fighter. The masks are die-cut from yellow kabuki tape, which shapes well over curved surfaces and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off.

The real subject

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier-borne fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The F-14B version received more powerful General Electric F110 engines and served with the US Navy.

Use

• Lift the masks with tweezers and lay them onto the canopy frames and the rest of the glazing.
• Press the edges down so that paint cannot creep in, and spray the area with an airbrush.
• Masks for the wheels are included as well, making it easier to paint the tires and hubs.
