This product is a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:72 scale for a model of the McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle from Rob Taurus. It is neither a model of an aircraft nor a kit, but a standalone clear part replacing the production canopy. The large bubble canopy of the Eagle is a prominent feature on a model, and a clean vacuum-formed part pays off especially well there.
The F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine air superiority fighter, in service since the 1970s. The single-seat C version is among the most widely used variants and is still operated today.
A vacuum-formed canopy has thinner walls and higher clarity than an injection-molded part. It is cut out with a sharp knife along the engraved outline, the edges are sanded down to an exact fit, and for maximum transparency the part can be dipped in a gloss varnish. It is glued with PVA glue for canopies or with cyanoacrylate applied in the smallest possible amount.
This is a standalone accessory (a clear canopy), not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
