1:72 F-15E Canopy And Wheels Paint Masks brings together on one sheet ready-made cutouts for the cockpit framing and the wheels of the two-seat strike Eagle in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
One sheet of thin masking tape with ready-made cutouts covers the dividing frames of the long canopy of the two-seat cockpit and the rims of the main and the nose landing gear wheels. In 1:72 the F-15E has a canopy markedly extended to the rear and its framing consists of a series of narrow strips - trimming them by hand would take more time than the spraying itself.
The F-15E came about as the strike variant of the air-superiority Eagle. The rear seat was taken by a weapon systems officer, the airframe received a strengthened structure for low-level flight with a long range, and conformal tanks were added along the sides of the fuselage, onto which bomb armament can be hung. It is precisely those that set the silhouette of the Strike Eagle apart from the single-seat versions at first glance.
On the long canopy the stencils are laid from the nose backward, so that the surplus does not end up on the arch behind the rear cockpit. Before spraying, check against the light that no strip is standing proud. Once the frames are painted it pays to go over the inner side with the cockpit color before you glue the pane on for good.
The model of the aircraft is bought separately, as are the paints.
