This starter modeling set in 1:72 scale from Italeri holds a plastic kit of the American F-16 C/D multirole fighter and, with it, the basic equipment for finishing it. In the package you will find glue, a set of basic acrylic paints, a brush, tweezers, abrasive paper and sprue nippers, so a beginner has nothing to buy in addition. Decals are included as well.
The General Dynamics (later Lockheed Martin) F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most widespread Western multirole fighters. The C (single-seat) and D (two-seat) versions brought upgraded avionics and a wider range of armament. The aircraft became famous for its agility, its characteristic bubble canopy with an excellent field of view and its service with a number of air forces all over the world.
Use the nippers supplied to separate the parts, sand the surfaces with the paper supplied and join them with cement for plastic. Apply the basic paints from the set in thin coats; for a clean result it pays to paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing up the fuselage. Seat the decals on a smooth, ideally glossy base.
The model is supplied unassembled. The set holds basic tools and paints; further modeling equipment may come in handy for a full finish.
