Resin flaps for the F-8 Crusader fighter in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Quickboost - an accurate detail accessory; this is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Resin flaps for the American carrier-based F-8 Crusader fighter in 1:72 scale from the Quickboost brand. This is not an airplane model but an accurate replacement part for more experienced modelers that makes it possible to show the flaps in the lowered position and replaces the simplified parts from a kit with more faithful castings with inner structure.
The F-8 Crusader was a supersonic carrier-based fighter of the US Navy, famous for its variable-incidence wing. Lowered flaps bring the silhouette of a model on display to life and reveal the structure of the wing. The part is meant to refine an existing Crusader model in the same scale.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release residue from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a fine saw and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) - ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin. Before gluing, try the angle of deflection and the fit with the wing dry.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
