1:35 White 666 Road Wheels (Firestone)

Replacement wheels White 666 (Firestone) 1:35 (PANZER ART)

This is a resin aftermarket accessory, not a model on its own. The set brings a complete set of cast road wheels with the period Firestone tread pattern and replaces the plastic parts from the box. The castings have a crisp rendering of the tread and detail on the rims and the bolts.

The real subject

The White 666 was an American six-ton truck with all-wheel drive from the Second World War period. It served to carry cargo and troops and was also supplied to the Allies. Tires with a coarse tread made driving in heavy terrain possible.

Usage tips

Wash the mold release agent off the castings, cut the casting blocks away and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand with respiratory protection. The tread pattern stands out once it has been dusted with pigments; a slight flattening of the tire where it meets the road also looks natural.

Who the accessory is for

• modelers of American and Allied trucks in 1:35
• those interested in the faithful Firestone tread instead of the plastic wheels from the box
• builders of dioramas with rear-area and supply vehicles

The aftermarket accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
